Our loss, Kansas’ gain
After 22 years of teaching the very young at Fountain of Life Day School, Ruth Heinzelmann is off to Kansas, but she’ll be surrounded by tots there too.
She’ll be starting up a kindergarten there, just as she did at Fountain of Life in 1962.
Ever since, she’s been teaching either kindergartners or first graders some of the more basic skills need to get along in life.
At the school, which is connected with Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, they readily admit that “our growth was based on her reputation.”
Heinzlmann was honored at a farewell tea this past weekend to give her a good send-off to Kansas.
