LEADERSHIP at FOUNTAIN of LIFE
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and made Him head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” – Ephesians 1:18-23
These words of the Apostle Paul remind us that our living Lord, Jesus Christ, is the head of His church … and Fountain of Life, as a local expression of that church, is most certainly under His authority.
Jesus Christ promises to exercise His authority in the church through the active work of the Holy Spirit, Who lives and works in all baptized believers. The Spirit gives gifts to all of His people, including gifts of teaching, shepherding, leadership and administration. These gifts are identified in the congregation, who then appoints and consecrated gifted individuals to various roles and positions.
ELDERSHIP
The Elders provide oversight to the spiritual matters of the church, including our praying, our fellowship, our teaching, our service, and our gospel outreach. Bill Hartley (Pastor); Jonathon Aguilar, Brian Andrews, Barry Beck, David Broughton, Vern Hartz, Mark Tadlock and Michael Trawicki.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Fountain of Life Board provides administration and policy support to all aspects of the church’s ministry. This includes oversight of the finances, facilities, and personnel. Jonathon Aguilar, President; David Broughton, Deb Campagne, Dan Hanselman, Vern Hartz, Judi Maikoff, and Elise Stone.
MINISTRY STAFF
The Ministry Staff is charged carrying out the ministry as envisioned by the Elders, Board and Congregation. Led by Pastor Bill Hartley, the Ministry Staff is made up of gifted leaders who are giving direction to a variety of ministries (worship, Bible teaching, children, youth, families, evangelism, service, men, women, seniors, care and visitation, media).
PASTOR: Bill Hartley
Bill has been the pastor at Fountain of Life since December of 2025. He pastored in evangelical churches for over 30 years before being ordained in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in 2018. Bill has pastored in California, Illinois, Washington, The Netherlands, Kansas and Arizona. He has also served as a music and worship pastor, a leader of international mission trips, a Christian radio DJ and music director, and a Church History instructor at Phoenix Seminary. Bill and his wife Karen have been happily married since 1990, and have two children, Camille and Evelyn.

DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP: Evelyn Wilson
Evelyn Wilson has assisted in leading worship from an early age and is passionate about having excellent music in church. Though she was raised in a Non-Denominational church setting, she has grown to love the rich history, theology, and liturgy of the Lutheran Church. When she is not creating services or making music, she is being a homemaker, and spending time with her husband Jonathan and daughter Willow.
