Worship

When we worship, our congregation joins together to praise and glorify our Mighty God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – recognizing that we come before Him in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior. In worship our loving God comes to us and blesses us with the free gifts of the Word and the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Both in the traditional and contemporary worship services we follow the church’s ancient and historic practice of following a liturgy –

inviting God to join us, a time of confessing our sins, the announcement of God’s forgiveness, scripture readings, prayers, confessing our faith, receiving Christ’s Body and Blood in bread and wine, and finally a blessing before we leave. Whether you’re Lutheran or not, you are invited to join us for worship.

All Services

  • Sunday 9:00 AM Service
  • Communion with be offered on the 1st and 3rd Sundays.

THE DIVINE WORSHIP
This time of worship features the traditional Lutheran liturgies with psalms, readings, sermon, prayers and hymns led by the organ.

COMMUNION

If you are able to say “YES!” to each one of these statements, you are welcome to commune with us. Self-examination prepares us for receiving Holy Communion.

The apostle Paul wrote, “Everyone should examine himself first, and then eat of the bread and drink from the cup.” I Cor. 11: 28

  1. I am a baptized child of God who is sorry for my sins and admits my need for forgiveness before God. I John 1: 9
  2. I believe that my sins are forgiven because Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for them with His suffering and death on the cross. Romans 5: 9-11
  3. I believe that as I receive the bread and wine of this sacred meal, that I also receive the true body and blood of Christ, through which I receive the full forgiveness of my sins in this sacrament. Matthew 26: 26-28
  4. As I receive forgiveness, I recognize that God is calling me to change my sinful ways and live in a way that pleases Him. Romans 12: 2
  5. I understand that the Lord’s Supper is for those who have been instructed in its meaning and power, and join in this joyful confession. I Corinthians 11: 27-29
